MDANTSANE – Drug trade in Mdantsane was dealt a big blow by the concerted efforts of Mdantsane crime prevention members when they arrested two suspects for possession of one hundred and eighty-eight (188) Mandrax tablets and five small packets of tik in a Highway shopping center on Wednesday 28 October 2020.
Police pounced on the two unsuspecting women suspects and arrested them for possession of Mandrax and Crystal Meth (tik), after a long suspicion that they were selling drugs around the Highway shopping center, Mdantsane.
Police confiscated 188 Mandrax tablets and 5 Crystal Meth (tik) packaged in small plastic bags.
Furthermore, cash to the value of R420-00 was also seized. The estimated street value of the drugs is R7 770-00
The two suspects aged 24 and 45 are due to appear in the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of possession of drugs.
