On Thursday, 10 June 2021 at about 23:00 three men were admitted at Phuthuluha hospital wherein two died on arrival.
It is alleged that a group of people was seated around a burning tyre and warming themselves at Zone 8 in Meqheleng, Ficksbug when they were surprised by armed men.
It is alleged that three unknown men who had their faces covered, walked into the yard and begun to randomly shoot at the men sitting around the fire, then walked away.
The three victims were later referred to Phuthuluha hospital in Ficksbug where two died on arrival and the third one was transferred to another hospital for medical treatment.
