Two (2) convicts recently released from Westville Prison were intercepted by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) in Verulam – Kwazulu Natal.
The RUSA Operations Center received three calls from residents in Brindhaven reporting two males behaving suspiciously and attempting to gain entry into private properties. Reaction Officers searched the area and found the men on Litchi Cresent. During an interview, it was established that both were released from Westville Prison after being convicted for Housebreaking, Drug Dealing & other crimes.
Both men are residents of Brooks Farm in Phoenix and it is believed that they were transported by vehicle to Brindhaven and dropped off by a kingpin to rob/break into homes. No criminal cases were registered by residents & the suspects were eventually released.
Reaction Officers escorted the men out of the residential area.
