A Hindu Priest’s vehicle was extensively damaged after it burst into flames at his residence on Myna Road in Dawncrest – KZN earlier today (Monday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the residence at approximately 16:32. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered the engine compartment of a white Mazda 3 engulfed in flames. With the use of a garden hose, Officers managed to extinguish the fire. According to the owner of the vehicle, he returned from shopping and was preparing to leave to conduct a prayer when he heard an explosion. Upon investigation, he found his vehicle on fire.
Circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately established.
