A pedestrian was seriously injured after he was allegedly run over on the M27 in the vicinity of the Verulam Fire Department – KZN last night (Friday).
Passing motorists contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) from 19:49 after they discovered the pedestrian lying in a prone position on the road. On arrival, RUSA Medics discovered that the man had sustained a serious head injury and multiple abrasions to his body. He was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance.
The vehicle involved in the alleged hit & run accident did not stop to render assistance.
