An unknown male who cried for assistance for several hours since 10:00am yesterday (Sunday) was discovered dead seventeen (17) hours later.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was called out to Pioneer Road in Redcliffe – Kwazulu Natal at approx 15:00 today (Monday). Upon arrival at 15:04 Reaction Officers met with a group of locals who pointed out a man lying face-up next to a Jackfruit trees alongside a gravel road. Paramedics declared him deceased. The man was found without his shoes and had sustained bodily injuries.
His shoe was located near his body.
According to residents, they heard a man cry for help for several hours since yesterday morning. The screams continued throughout the night. Residents in the area failed to call Law Enforcement & explained to Reaction Officers that they believed the screams were from a local quarry & not in their immediate vicinity.
The man has not been identified.
