The Sekhukhune Task Team once again displayed character and determination when they managed to track down one of the most evasive suspect. This was evident when they, working with Lebowakgomo FCS captured one of the most wanted suspect who is facing serious cases of murder and rape committed in Jane Furse and Nebo in Sekhukhune District
These cases were committed between 2015 and 2019 and the suspect has been on the run until when his luck deserted him on Monday at about 05:00.
The suspect was arrested in his hideout place at Marishane village by the ever hardworking Sekhukhune Task Team joined by Lebowakgomo FCS Unit members.
According to the information, the members followed an intelligence that resulted in the operation, which directed them to Marishane. The suspect was found at his hideout and immediately apprehended.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe applauded the members following the arrest. She further pointed out that the Community of Sekhukhune should feel safe under the watchful eye of these dedicated team of members.
The 40-year-old suspect is scheduled to appear before Nebo Magistrates Court soon facing two charges of rape and one of murder.
Police investigation are continuing.
