The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) By-Laws Enforcement Unit Officers arrested a 34-year-old male suspect, during a vehicle fitness operation, in the Thembisa area.
During the operation, the Officers stopped a white VW Polo Vivo at the corner of Nakuru and Ihambe Street, with one occupant. As Officers were busy conducting an inspection on the vehicle, they noticed that the displayed license disc, affixed on the windscreen, was a fraudulent license disc, before the motorist was handcuffed.
The suspect facing charges of fraud, was taken to the Thembisa police station and he is expected to appear, at the Thembisa Magistrate’s Court soon.
