The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe condemned the domestic violence incident in which a 32-year-old woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband at their home in Lwamondo Khumbe Village in Vuwani policing area in the early hours of Tuesday, 02 January 2024.
The 41-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene and charged with murder. He is expected to appear before Vuwani Magistrates’ Court in due course.
“Domestic violence is a serious issue, and SAPS urges individuals facing such situations to seek psycho-social support from professionals or support organizations. We also emphasize the importance of community members reporting any signs of domestic abuse or violence promptly to law enforcement authorities “, concluded Lieutenant General Hadebe.
