Earlier this morning, Mi7 National Group’s Armed Response teams received information on the whereabouts of a man wanted for theft and housebreaking.
It is believed the man allegedly broke into a Northdale home and stole a gearbox and other items, before fleeing into a nearby informal settlement.
Mi7 Reaction Officers, in partnership with police officers from Mountain Rise station, spent the morning tracking the suspect at the informal settlement. Once found, the man was apprehended and questioned.
He confessed to the crime and was placed under arrest.
