[WESTVILLE, KZN – 12 JUNE 2012 AT 15H30]
A collision on Marford Road near to Langford Road in Westville, involving two light motor vehicles has left three people injured including a seven year old girl this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the two vehicles across the road blocking the road to other motorist in the area. The occupants of the two vehicles were found seated on the grass verge next to the accident.
The driver of the one car and her daughter were examined and found that the daughter was complaining of pains to her neck and head area. The paramedics placed her on a specialised board and carried her to the ambulance. The mother had pains to her shoulder and was in a stable condition. The female driver of the other vehicle was treated for suspected neck and back injuries and needed Advanced Life Support intervention. All three patients were transported to Life Westville Hospital for further medical care.
It is unclear what caused the drivers to collide into one another but the necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
