[WESTMEAD, KZN – 20 JUNE 2012 AT 16H00]
A woman believed to be in her late thirties is in a serious condition after been knocked down by a light motor vehicle on Circuit Road in Westmead this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the woman lying in the road complaining of pain to her hip region and neck area. Paramedics assessed her and found that she had a suspected broken pelvis and suspect neck and back injuries. Advanced Life Support intervention was performed on the patient before she was stabilised further. The patient was placed on a specialised board and transported to R K Khans Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the incident further.
