A woman was killed when gale force wind and driving rain razed four shacks to the ground on the Wonderbron Farm in the outskirts of Bethlehem in the Free State.
Common cause information indicates that the shacks were leveled by strong winds.
Netcare911 Paramedics arrived at the scene to find the body of woman lying in amongst the debris of the informal dwellings.
She had sustained significant traumatic injuries when she was struck by a piece of corrugated iron.
No one else was injured.
