SAPS Gelvandale is looking for five suspects following a shooting that occurred in Elk Street, Helenvale where one person was fatally shot while four victims sustain injuries.
This follows after five male suspects forcefully opened the house back door, entered and then opened fire on the occupants in the house. A 20 year old male was shot in the head and three females (aged 28 to 54 years) and another 21 year old male were all shot in their legs. After being taken to hospital, the 20 year old male with head wound passed away.
A murder case and four counts of attempted murder cases were opened by SAPS Gelvandale and under investigation by the SAPS Anti-Gang Unit (AGU).
Police are requesting anyone with information that can assist in arresting these suspects to contact the investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Phillips on 082 387 6765 or alternatively Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
