A taxi has crashed into a light pole on Edendale Road and has left five people with minor to moderate injuries this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the taxi off to the side if the road with the five occupants out of the vehicle and seated on the floor. They were assessed and found that they had sustained minor abrasions and cuts. They were transported to Edendale Hospital by ER24 for further medical care.
It is unclear why caused the driver to lose control but the local law enforcement authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
