On Thursday, a 7-year-old boy was hacked with a panga, and left for dead in a field in Tongaat.
He’s in a critical condition.
It then emerged that his 3-year-old sibling was also missing.
A search team was mobilised but the efforts were called off late last night as light faded.
The search resumed early today but has now been paused because the suspect is expected to point out where the baby was dumped.
