Thirty one people were injured after two passenger busses and a Corsa Lite collided on the N1 about twenty five Kilometers outside Polokwane. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that one bus rear ended the other, it is alleged that the Corsa then collided into the one bus before veering off the road and coming to rest in the veldt bursting into flames.
After triaging the injured it was found that thirty one people sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor. They were treated on scene before medics transporting them to various hospitals for the care that they required.
