Thohoyandou Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit are investigating a case of hijacking that occurred at Malamulela Section B on Monday, 03 March 2025.
According to the information received, the complainant, a driver, was driving a white Toyota VVTI bakkie, with Limpopo registration to Malamulele Section B to fetch some goods.
He entered the yard and left the bakkie idling as he entered the house.
When he exited the house, he was approached by two unknown men, one armed with a firearm, threatening him. He returned to the house, and the two suspects drove away with the bakkie.
Police were notified and opened a case of hijacking, and the docket was transferred to Thohoyandou Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit for further investigations.
The motor vehicle was discovered abandoned in Fobeni village in the early hours of Tuesday, 04 March 2025.
