An elderly male employed at a local Temple was robbed of a frozen chicken by three armed suspects in the Verulam CBD in KZN.
The victim arrived at the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Headquarters at approx. 16:29 seeking assistance. He informed Reaction Officers that he had purchased a frozen chicken and was walking on Todd Street when three suspects produced a knife and threatened to stab him.
He was forced to the ground and instructed not to get up. The perpetrators then fled with his purchase.
Fearing that he would be stabbed, the victim then picked himself off the ground ten minutes after the suspects had left.
