[Hillcrest, KZN – 06 October 2012 at 12h00]
A motorcyclist believed to be in his early forties is in a serious condition after colliding with a light motor vehicle at the corners of Old Main Road and Builders Way in Hillcrest this afternoon.
Paramedics from Hillcrest arrived on the scene and found the man lying in the road and in extreme pain. The motorbike and car were a few meters behind him with extensive damage.
The patient had a suspected neck and back injury, he also had a very traumatic injury to his right ankle. Advanced Life Support intervention was performed on the patient and was transported to Hillcrest Private Hospital for further medical care.
Metro Police and SAPS were on scene and would investigate the accident further.
