A pilot and his passenger both males have been killed after the light aircraft believed to be a Cessna that they were travelling in crashed into the mountains at the Eersteling Monument, in Limpopo in the early hours of this morning.
ER24 paramedics along with other emergency personnel were notified of the incident after it’s believed that farm workers had spotted the crash site. With the joint operations of ER24, Polokwane EMS, SAPS Air Wing and SAPS Search and Rescue teams made their way to the crash site.
When they arrived on scene, they found the wreckage alongside the mountain with the bodies of the pilot and passenger close by. Both patients had sustained very traumatic and fatal injuries and were declared deceased on scene by the necessary authorities.
