A young man has been severely injured after he collided with the back of a BMW X5 while travelling on his motorbike on Voortrekker road in Kensington yesterday afternoon.
It is not clear as to exactly what took place leading up to the collision, but when paramedics arrived on scene they found the young man trapped by his leg in the back bumper of the X5. With team work by ER24, Life paramedic and the Metro team, they managed to treat the man for his pain while removing him from the back of the vehicle. His leg was extensively broken and it was suspected that he had sustained other multiple serious injuries.
While continuing his treatment, the man in his 20’s was transported by ambulance to the Life Vincent Palotti hospital for further care.
No one else was injured in the collision.
