Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a pedestrian accident on the R102 and Compensation intersection near Ballito this evening.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a twenty-five-year-old woman in a critical condition after she was knocked over by a vehicle.
The woman was treated on scene before she was rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that she required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
