A man in his thirties sustained serious injuries in an accident on the N2 north near the Mtwalume off ramp in Port Shepstone this afternoon at around 14h15. Reports indicate that the vehicle left the roadway, overturned, went across the centre island and collided with a truck traveling in the opposite direction.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the accident debris and the twisted remains of the vehicle obstructing the highway. After they stabilized the patient and skillfully immobilized him on a trauma board, they transported the wounded man to a Margate hospital for the care that he required.
