One person was injured in a rear-end accident on the N2 south in Umgababa this morning at around 07h40. Reports indicate that a vehicle collided into the rear of another before veering off the road and coming to rest in the centre median next to the north bound lane.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the roadway obstructed with accident debris and the twisted frame of the one vehicle. After triaging they found that one person had sustained serious injuries. After the patient was stabilised at the scene they transported him to a nearby hospital for the care that he required.
