A twenty – six – year- old female and her fiancé from Pietermaritzburg was swimming at the Salt Rock Beach this morning when she landed in a strong current and was swept further out to see.
Rescue efforts from life guards and the emergency services immediately commenced but she had disappeared under the water. Netcare 911 paramedics are standing by at the beach at present to assist in any way possible.
