A Taxi driver tragically died while fourteen commuters were injured after the vehicle rolled along the R102 between Stanger and Darnell this afternoon. Reports indicate that the taxi veered off the roadway and rolled in the culvert adjacent to the R102, its passengers were ejected and found lying near the wreckage on the road verge.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that the commuters sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor. After the wounded were stabilised on scene paramedics transported them to a local hospital for the care that they required.
