A man was seriously injured after his vehicle veered off the road and collided into a bridge on the N3 north near the New England road off ramp this morning. Reports from the scene indicate that the man collided with a truck and the veered off the road, exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the patient still trapped in the wreckage of his bakkie. While firemen used the Jaws of Life to free the man paramedics clambered into the wreckage to stabilise the patient.
