A 17-year-old male was critically injured when a fire broke out at a restaurant in Brandwag, Bloemfontein this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived at the restaurant and found the teenager to have sustained severe burn wounds on most of his face.
He stabilised on scene for the severe injuries he sustained and thereafter transported to Mediclinic Bloemfontein for urgent medical care.
The patient was allegedly working at the restaurant, drilling into a power substation when some electrical wires caught alight burning his face.
The incident is currently under investigation.
