Ten people were injured when a taxi overturned on the N12 near the Pikfontein offramp in Benoni this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene where a badly damaged taxi lay on the grass next to highway. The ten occupants had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated on scene before they were transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical treatment.
The driver of the taxi said that he had apparently lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.
The exact cause is unknown and local authorities were on scene for investigations.
